Cobargo and Quaama residents came together at a Community Day at Cobargo for a big plant give-away organised through the Rotary Clubs of Bega and Canberra-Weston Creek. After the terrible summer bushfires, residents were able to choose plants that had been grown by the two Rotary Clubs. Around 5,000 plants had been grown and were given away on the day to help with replacing burnt out gardens.

The Cobargo and Quaama communities had worked hard for many months to make the day happen and it seemed like the whole district turned out on the beautiful Spring day. Bega rotary organised a barbeque and there were lots of fun activities for the children. Headspace Bega were also there to give support, as was the Red Cross who helped with COVID-19 registration requirements.
